Introduction

Mrs Lorna Greene is a Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist and expert witness, working with Arbor Neurorehabilitation Services and as Lead Specialist Occupational Therapist for Stroke Services at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, based at Cheltenham General Hospital. She has held both positions since 2024. Her principal areas of expertise include stroke rehabilitation, acquired brain injury, complex neurological conditions and specialist neurorehabilitation, with a particular interest in children, adolescents and young adults affected by brain injury.

Lorna has extensive experience supporting individuals with complex neurological and physical rehabilitation needs across acute hospital, inpatient and community settings. Her clinical practice encompasses cognitive and functional assessment, upper limb rehabilitation, fatigue management, postural management and complex manual handling.

She has particular experience supporting adolescents returning to education following acquired brain injury, alongside adults experiencing the long-term consequences of injuries sustained during childhood or at birth. Her approach focuses on improving independence, functional abilities and participation in education, employment and everyday activities.

Her wider clinical expertise includes spinal cord injury, polytrauma, amputations and trauma and orthopaedic rehabilitation. She works collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, individuals and families to develop personalised rehabilitation programmes, assess equipment and adaptation requirements, and support successful transitions into community living.

Medico Legal Experience Summary

Mrs Lorna Greene began undertaking medico-legal work in 2026, providing independent occupational therapy opinions in clinical negligence, personal injury and Court of Protection matters. She accepts instructions on behalf of claimants, defendants and as a Single Joint Expert.

Her medico-legal practice focuses on cases involving stroke, acquired brain injury, spinal cord injury and complex neurological conditions, including injuries sustained during childhood and their long-term functional consequences. She assists solicitors in evaluating the impact of injury on cognitive functioning, independence, daily activities and future rehabilitation requirements.

Lorna accepts instructions for screening, breach of duty, condition and prognosis, rehabilitation needs, care and occupational therapy, and cognitive and functional assessment reports. Clinical Interests

Lorna Greene's clinical interests centre on the assessment and rehabilitation of individuals experiencing cognitive, physical and functional difficulties following neurological injury.
