Developmental Dysplasia of the Hip (DDH) Expert Witnesses

Developmental Dysplasia of the Hip (DDH) is a condition in which a baby's hip joint develops abnormally, ranging from a shallow hip socket to partial or complete dislocation. Early detection through newborn examination, risk assessment and ultrasound screening can help prevent long-term complications. Treatment may include a Pavlik harness, reduction procedures or surgery, depending on age and severity. Independent DDH Expert Witnesses can provide specialist opinions on missed or delayed diagnosis, screening, imaging, treatment decisions, surgical complications, causation, long-term hip function and standards of care in Clinical Negligence cases.
