Mr Usman Bhatty
Consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon
Meniscal Injuries involve damage to the cartilage structures that cushion and stabilise the knee, often following twisting trauma or gradual degeneration. Symptoms may include pain, swelling, catching and restricted movement. Assessment typically involves clinical examination and, where appropriate, MRI, with treatment ranging from rehabilitation to arthroscopic repair or partial meniscectomy. Independent expert witnesses can assess diagnosis, treatment decisions, surgical standards, causation, recovery and long-term prognosis in Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence proceedings.
