Mr Usman Bhatty
Consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon
Knee Arthroscopy is a minimally invasive procedure using a camera and specialised instruments to examine or treat problems inside the knee joint. It may be used for selected meniscal tears, loose bodies or other joint conditions, although it is not routinely recommended for uncomplicated osteoarthritis. Independent expert witnesses can assess surgical indications, consent, operative technique, complications, post-operative care and rehabilitation, including questions of breach of duty, causation and prognosis in Clinical Negligence proceedings.
