Neuro-Oncology Clinical Nurse
Acute Neurological Assessment involves the prompt evaluation of patients with suspected or evolving neurological problems, including head injury, stroke, seizures and post-operative complications. Assessment may include consciousness, pupil responses, limb strength, sensation and neurological observations to identify deterioration requiring urgent escalation. Independent expert witnesses can assess the adequacy of examinations, monitoring, clinical decisions, referral and escalation, and whether delays or omissions contributed to harm in Clinical Negligence proceedings.
